Jazz vocalist and songwriter Krisanthi Pappas is the 3rd place Jazz Winner of the prestigious 2006 Billboard World Song Contest as well as the (1st place tie) winner of NYC’s Cabaret Hotline 2006 Members' Choice Songwriters' Favorite Song Award. Krisanthi’s original music and lyrics receive airplay on “One Life To Live” on ABC, “Passions”on NBC, and her songs are performed live in her own concerts as well as by many other cabaret and jazz performers in New York City, Boston and Washington DC. As a performer, she has shared the stage with Branford Marsalis, Chuck Mangione, The Yellowjackets and others. Her three highly acclaimed CDs “My Back Yard”, “Celebratin’ Swing” and “A Centennial Tribute To George and Ira Gershwin” receive airplay on independent radio stations nationwide. |
