Within the past four years I have redefined myself as a still photographer, following a thirty-year career as a nationally recognized documentary DP. I have a broad range of expertise in film and video, which includes lighting and shooting interviews for clients such as Frontline, 60 Minutes, Turning Point and 20/20. This has proven to be nicely adapted to shooting portraits. My versatility in lighting, shooting, bringing client's visions to life, the ability to work quickly while producing exceptional footage... are some of the skills and artistry that kept national shows and producers returning for my services.
I have tremendous experience shooting spot news, commercials, social documentaries, aerials, even... underwater. All in locations from the frozen Arctic ice to the Amazon jungle... from 46 U.S. states to Iran, Poland, Cuba and so many more. I'm just using a lighter camera. |

I accept still photography projects shooting production stills, portraiture, head-shots, and fine-art photography. I work quickly and efficiently with creative and expressive results. I use only the best digital DSLR equipment: Canon 5D and 20D DSLR camera bodies and Canon 17x85, 28x135, 80x200 and Sigma 15x30mm and 105mm Prime lenses. The finest support equipment from Metz, Foba, Giottos, Bogen, Tiffen and B+W.
I am a wiz at digital manipulation, image optimization, and layering effects and filters. I'm working on a Mac Pro Quad Core 2.8 GHz with 2TB of storage. The Mac is loaded with the most up-to-date imaging software including Aperture 2, PhotoshopCS3 with plugins by Alien Skin, OnOne Photo Tools, Kodak, and the new Tiffen Dfx... an amazing piece of software into which Tiffen has digitized over 200 of their optical filters which can be applied in layers to images. I also have Lightzone, Illustrator, FCP loaded on the Mac. I am a professional who brings with him not only his lunch... but a strong sense of resolve and decisiveness... and a broad knowledge of the entire production process.
After a shoot I have the ability to upload "dailies" to my server for client viewing, allowing for an expeditious work-flow.
