Becki Dennis is an actor/ singer/ dancer/ choreographer in the New England area with a BA in Musical Theatre and Dance from Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, PA. Originally from Andover, MA, she recently returned home and has since been very active in the local film and theatre scene. Becki recently shot a national PSA for Girls and Boys Town, a crisis hotline, in which she plays a distraught teenager arguing with her mother. She has worked on such films as The Box, Real Men Cry, Pink Panther 2, The Women, Bachelor No. 2, 21, The Game Plan, and Fever Pitch. She also played a customer in a Dunkin Donuts industrial (speaking role,) starred in a UMASS Student Film, and has appeared on MTV, mtvU ("Caterwaul" Music Video,) and Showtime (Brotherhood.) Her commercials include Nike, a promo for WBZ during last year's Superbowl, and SIAA Insurance Choices.
Her theatre experience is just as extensive, having just spent her summer performing at Seacoast Repertory Theatre in West Side Story (Rosalia), Damn Yankees (Sister), and the Rocky Horror Show (Dancer.) Her other recent productions include The Full Monty (Palace Theatre,) Joey & Maria’s Comedy Italian Wedding (Dillstar Productions,) Hello Goodbye Peace (Theater Offensive Staged Reading,) Fiddler on the Roof (Jewish Theatre of Pittsburgh,) Jelly's Last Jam (Kuntu Repertory Theatre,) Break (Image Theater,) Little Shop of Horrors (Turtle Lane Playhouse,) and several Mystery Café shows (Comedy Theater Productions.)
As a singer, she works professionally with Big Smile Entertainment, through which she sang at the Boston Marathon (performance aired on TV.) She has choreographed for Stoneham Theatre's "The Young. Co," Andover High School, Sto-Rox High School, and The Kuntu Repertory Theatre.
In addition, she has studied on-camera technique at Maura Tighe Casting, improv at Improv Asylum, advanced acting at Emerson College, singing at Berklee College of Music, and dance at the Donna Miceli Dance Center and Gus Giordano's Jazz Dance World Congress.

I was selected to be a top 20 finalist in the new acting competition TV show "Casting Call" with judges Morgan Fairchild, Joe Piscopo, and Adrian Zmed. I recently returned from the finals (all expenses paid trip with acting coaching included,) and the production has wrapped. The results are to be kept a secret until it airs sometime in the next few months... hopefully. |
