I make a living as a freelance film & video editor / motion graphics & title sequence designer / cinematographer / film professor / Avid Certified Instructor / film book author. I have been shooting film (not video as much) for twelve years and editing on various flavors of Avid for just as long. I have been teaching film production and post for eight years and training top television and news professionals on the Avid editing systems for four years. |

Currently freelancing for Spectrum Media as a documentary video editor. I am also in the completion stage of writing two film technique manuscripts for Focal Press - Grammar of the Shot and Grammar of the Edit - due out on bookshelves in early 2009.
I am looking for opportunities to apply my advanced Avid editing skills (or FCP skills if required) on almost any project, but I am really seeking scripted fictional narrative (features or shorts), music videos or commercials. I also act and would like to get involved in the right project by end of 2008.
I am seeking additional editing gigs on short or long form projects. My company has an Avid Media Composer system and an Avid Xpress Pro HD mobile unit. You help provide the storage. |
