Matthew Gordon is the author or co-author of five full-length scripts and multiple shorter works for theater, television and film. His first feature screenplay, GREAT FALLS, co-authored with his cousin and frequent collaborator, gained representation from Robert A. Freedman Dramatic Agency, one of New York’s oldest theatrical tenpercenteries. The script received praise and attention from several producers and production companies including Hallmark Hall Of Fame as well as independent producer Andrea Magder (MORNING, BRIAR PATCH) who later commissioned Matthew to write the pilot episode of the hour-long drama ADAM’S GROVE based on her original idea. After working with Andrea Magder, Matthew again collaborated with his cousin on spec scripts for GILMORE GIRLS and ED both of which made it into the semi-finals and finals of several national screenwriting competitions. Recently, Matthew completed a feature romantic comedy called DOWN BY EIGHT that is being submitted to competitions and production companies. Currently, he is at work on several projects including a comedy/drama called ASLEEP AND DREAMING, an untitled family comedy and a full-length play titled UNIDENTIFIED about a woman who questions her engagement after her husband becomes obsessed a UFOs. |
