My name is Benjamin Boshnack, but anybody who knows me calls me Benny. I'm 24 years old, and have been living in Boston for just over two years. Having been a movie buff for years, it wasn't until I moved here to Boston from Upstate NY, that I realized my greatest skills lie in entertainment and performance.
I began my journey as an intern at jamn945 fm, Boston's Hip-Hop Station, and eventually co-created my own sketch comedy on the web, "The Nelson and Benny Show". From there, I found myself oh-so-briefly on MTV's "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila", and finally, moved into "real" acting. Since then I've worked on "The Box", "Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past", and "Surrogates", a BU Student film called "1/2" as an art gallery exec., and my most exciting work has come from Kevin MacDonald's independent slasher "BEG", featuring Tony Moran(the original Michael Myers) and my first speaking role as yet another arrogant jock.
I'm always interested in taking classes and learning new skills, I've recently taken up stand-up comedy, and guitar lessons.
Bottom line is, I'm always looking for the next project, whether it be acting, writing, whatever. Please don't hesitate to contact me on anything, anything at all. |

"The Nelson and Benny Show" has come to an end unfortunately, so in my spare time I'll be compiling a DVD of all the crazy stunts we pulled. I'm currently bartending at Tiki Bar Hideaway, which is the lounge in the Howard Johnson behind Fenway Park. Very soon I'll be organizing an open mic nite in that bar, formerly known as Chops. On the lookout for any acting projects I can get my hands on, and/or anybody who's willing to hear out some ideas of short films I may have. Possibly work on some scripts, etc. I'm open to anything. |
