Screenwriter; Film Director/Producer |
| Bio: |
I am originally from Spain where I worked in the film and TV industry for over seven years. I relocated to Somerville in 2004.
In 1996, I co-founded an independent production company: GREAT WAYS with the idea of opening a space for short film filmmakers to showcase their work and produce independent films and videos. Great Ways created CORTOGENIA, a wildly successful year-round film festival, which is now on its 9th edition. At Great Ways, I helped produce and manage the publicity of numerous national and international film festivals.
I worked as a screen writing teacher at Metropolis Film School in Madrid for over two years and as an on-set script supervisor at two sitcoms broadcast on national TV: MENUDO ES MI PADRE and MAS QUE AMIGOS.
In 1998, I wrote LA ISLA DE LA TORTUGA, a short film produced by Globo Media S.A. In 2001, I was the line producer of DOS MAS, directed by Elias Leon Siminiani, an Emmy Award winner short film.
Locally I volunteered with the Boston Latino International Film Festival for two years, co-coordinating production and bringing films from Spain to the festival. I also was a production assistant in the video ENTREGA by Raquel Ortiz Productions.
In April 2008 my first feature film as a writer opened in Spain: PROYECTO DOS (PROJECT TWO) directed by Guillermo Fernandez Groizard and starring Lucia Jimenez and Adria Collado.
I also have extended experience as script consultant. |
