Ozgur Zoral started learning about basic classical music with Assoc. Prof. Yakup Kivrak (Dept. of Music, Faculty of Fine Arts, Ankara Gazi University) at the age of 7. Starting at the age of 10, he had classical guitar training for 6 years tutored by Ender Bilge (Dept. of Music, Faculty of Fine Arts, Izmir 9 Eylul University) who had formerly been Prof. Frank Koonce’s student at Arizona State University. He continued his classic guitar training with Serdar Celik (Faculty of Fine Arts, Music Technology Department at Sivas Cumhuriyet University). They also studied for the exam of the Faculty of Fine Arts. He passed that exam and started to study at the percussion department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Izmir 9 Eylul University. He began to work with the head of the percussion department, Murat Polge. However, His programme at his other school was very intensive, so he had to drop the conservatory before graduation. He had a chance to study with Senol Kucukyildirim and Onur Turkmen, who are graduated from Berklee, just before coming to Berklee College Of Music.
Recently Ozgur is studying and studied with ;Dave DiCenso, Casey Scheuerell, Scott deOgburn, Joseph Smith, Eric Reasoner, Bob Tamagni, Bertham Lehmann, Richard Evans, Vuk Kulenovic, Stephen Dale, Lenny Stalworth, Jonathan B. Holland and many other grate teachers and performers at BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC... He has been gradually aware of his enthusiasm as he have had the chance to study with these great tutors from whom he has learned a great deal of knowledge and pleasure of music. Ozgur believes that he is able to express his inner self best with music. |
