Bio

Gender: F
Your vocation(s) (hold Control key to select multiple): Film Director/Producer
Bio: I work for Metropolitan Pictures based in Allston, MA and am focused on production of the zombie chainsaw battle horror/ comedy, Harm School, written by Warren Lynch (writer/director/producer for Pony Trouble, Metropolitan Pictures, 2005) We are currently seeking funding, an older actor of color possessing excellent comedy skills, PAs and interns along with anyone else who'd like to assist us in executing our evil little plan.

Additionally, I am a singer and flute player (haha that could be taken totally the wrong way) of high skill level, and I have some stage acting experience especially in the musical and theater capacity. I probably can act well with some guidance, but have never applied myself to that task; however, in addition to English, I speak fluent German and Spanish along with some French and Russian with fairly good to excellent pronunciation. On film I look large though, seeing as I am no fitness buff, but if you need an actress or musician possessing any of these qualities I may consider giving it a shot.
I'm Looking For: (hold Control key to select multiple): Financing
Current Project (s) and What you're seeking (explain in more detail what "I'm Looking For"): Preproduction and casting for Harm School are underway. Harm School is a feature length film about high schoolers who fight off zombies and interdimensional alien demons! We're looking for financiers, interns and a certain special older male actor who can pull off a comedic Native American role. No offense, but SAG cramps our style a little...we are low budget.
Approx. Years of Exp: 2
Rates (choose ALL potentially applicable): Deferred Pay; Upfront pay
Internships and Entry-level Positions: Offering them
Available for Film Racing, 48 Hr Film Project, and similar live film-making races?: No, I'm boring :)

Experience and Training

FILM: My current work with Metropolitan Pictures can be considered trial by fire. I'm learning as I go.
VOICE OVER: I have done some spoken word recordings over electronic music for friends.
MUSIC: I've been singing since the second grade when I joined church choir. I went on to run the church choir in junior high and high school. This venture included teaching approximately 15 children ranging from second grade to sophomores in high school their music in practice, selecting and directing all music for mass, and playing flute accompaniment. I was a for-hire flutist in Southeastern CT for many years. My singing experience continued through grade, junior high and high school where I was a member of the chamber choir, a group of 20 singers (5 per voice part) who toured the US and internationally, competed, and won best in show for all performances participated in nationally and world wide. At Boston College I was a member of the University Chorale directed by John Finney (also director of Boston's Handel and Haydn society) where my most prestigious accomplishment was performing in a quartet as the alto soloist in St. Peter's cathedral in the Vatican. I was also a member of the Boston College Flute choir through my undergraduate and graduate years. As a flutist I have experience playing solo, accompanied, in marching bands, and full bands. As a singer I have experience as a soloist and choir member, and am currently pursuing vocal projects with local musician friends of mine. My vocal range is baritone to second soprano and I can sing with accurate pronunciation in many languages.
THEATER: I have a little experience doing musical theater.
PROMOTION: I've successfully promoted events for local musicians.
PRINT: I have published three first-authored research articles in top science journals; however, this has nothing to do with film.
AWARDS: I've won many top awards as a musician.
TRAINING/SCHOOLING: Received my BS at Boston College in 2002 as a biochemistry major and studio art minor with a focus in photography and digital art. Currently enrolled in the MS program at Boston College for a degree in protein biochemistry and molecular genetics. Anticipated graduation date is August 2008.
SPECIAL SKILLS: multilingual, musical, well-organized, highly motivated, and I can cook just about anything :)
