From Green River Press Release:
Kristina Hughes, a New England native and a firm believer that through hard work and perseverance one’s acting career can flourish to “expected heights” while unveiling “unexpected roles”.
According to Ms. Hughes, “Playing the lead ‘Allison Chase’ in the feature film Green River was a liberating experience – it not only allowed myself to test the limits of my performing abilities but it also allowed me to work in an atmosphere where creating dynamic character traits and nuances were encouraged by director and producers alike.”
While growing up in Medford, Massachusetts and attending Lexington Christian Academy in the suburbs of Boston in her late teens, she was captivated by the Entertainment Industry while acting in local theatre productions, participating in finishing school and involving herself in modeling. Ms. Hughes then took the next step to follow her curiosity and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English/Communications with a concentration in Writing and Theatre from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
Soon after she made her way to NYC and Florida to train, audition and work as an actor on the sets of Thunder in Paradise, DropZone, Central Park West and on stage in Pomp, Duck and Circumstance. Shortly thereafter, Ms. Hughes experienced the thrill of competing in the world-renowned ‘Miss USA Pageant’ as the proud representative of ‘The Constitution State’- embracing the coveted role of “Miss Connecticut USA”.
With the intent of making acting her career, she re-located to Los Angeles. Since the big move she has appeared on NYPD Blue, Old School, Unwrapped, Days of Our Lives, Sunset Beach and several independent films and shorts. |

I was recently notified that I am mentioned, by name in “How To Be A Working Actor” 5th Edition.
WOW! What an honor to be mentioned by name in the 5th Edition of "How To Be A Working Actor"!
I’ve been a huge fan of this book since my senior year at Salve Regina University when it was required reading. This book proved incredibly helpful when I made the transition from part-time actor/model/spokesperson and full time student to full-fledged performer.
I must say it was a thrill to meet Mari Lyn and Lynne in NYC a few years ago while we were offering an in store demo of ActorTrack at the Drama Book Shop as these Industry pros helped me to understand the Business and appreciate my talents at the same time.
I’m very flattered that not only the company I co-founded (Holdon Log-The Standard in Performer Organizational Tools) is mentioned, but me, as a performer by name. Now that I’ve “upgraded” to the 5th edition, I certainly look forward to helping spread-the-word about this great resource!
