Anabel Graetz is an accomplished actress who has long been a part of the New England Art Scene. She has appeared
in several films. Recent projects include Exorcism, which aired on The History channel in October of 2006, Twelve,
a feature film still in production, and Mysterious Journeys for the Travel Channel.
She is half of The Proper Ladies, a duo that performs Victorian Parlor songs. Anabel also performs two one woman
shows that focus on Women and Women in the Nineteenth Century: Heroic & Outrageous Women and The Gilded Cage.
Anabel is the Artistic Director and founder of Light & Song, Inc. and of Laduvane,(Lah-DOO-vah-neh) a women’s Balkan
music ensemble that performed during the seventies. She appeared with the group at the Winnipeg & Vancouver
folk festivals, among others.
Anabel has taught literally thousands of singer and non-singers to enjoy singing. In addition to extensive training in
Bel Canto, (teachers include Mdme. Emilia Ippolitto, Lorraine DiGregorio, Antonia Lavanne and Olga Averino), she
studied vocal techniques on a Fulbright Fellowship in Bulgaria in 1987. |
