Peter's film and television credits include principal roles in Caddyshack, America's Most Wanted, Unsolved Mysteries, Waterfront, Teacakes or Cannoli, Abracadabra, and A Matter of Principal opposite Loretta Swit. He created the role of "Philly" for the pilot The Sunnybeach Teaser with Kathleen Chalfont and Victor Slezak. He recently joined the cast of Showtime's "The Brotherhood" as Detective Jonesie.
On stage, Peter has performed extensively in New York and regionally at such theatres as Ensemble Studio Theatre, New Dramatists and Jewish Repertory Theatre where he created the role of "Marty Feinberg" in Don Wollner's Off-Broadway premiere, Escape From Riverdale. Regional roles include "Bennie Foss" in the world premiere of Israel Horovitz' One Under at Gloucester Stage, Daniel” in The Rise and Rise of Daniel Rocket for New Voices, “Edward” and “Clarence” in Richard III at Theatre in the Open, "Charlie Bentham" in Juno and the Paycock at the Lyric Stage , "Arnold Epstein" in Biloxi Blues for Harbor Theatre Festival, "Eugene" in Brighton Beach Memoirs at the Nickerson Theatre, and "Larry" in Burn This at the Theatre of Newburyport. Musicals include “Danny Zuko” in a Canadian production of Grease and a guest turn in Chicago at North Shore Music Theatre.
Peter is an audiobook reader for the Library of Congress. Current titles include American Brutus, The Fifth Vial, The Woods, English, August and The Holy Vote. His voice can also be heard on radio and on WGBH for the series Frontline, most recently in Rules of Engagement, On Our Watch, The Age of AIDS, Sex Slaves, Israel’s Next War and The Torture Question. Independent productions include Meeting Osama Bin Laden and a whole host of interactive video games, playing monsters, aliens, Japanese Emperors and a variety of shellfish.
Peter is a prominent acting coach working in Boston and on the North Shore, His acting, film, voice and playwriting classes have been offered at the New York Film Academy, Northeastern University, Bradford College, Boston Casting, Kevin Fennessey Casting, Outcasting and at his own studio, New Voices-New Visions. His freelance casting credits include Gabrielle Savage Docterman's "Missing in America" with Danny Glover and David Strathairn, for which he is credited with discovering and casting Zoe Weisenbaum.
Directiing credits include projects for New Hampshire Public Television, such as segments of New Hampshire Crossroads and the original production AIDS: It Stops With Us. In the theatre he has staged Sarajevo: Voices of the Siege, Romeo and Juliet, Waiting for Lefty and The Breakfast Club for New Voices. Other directing credits include Camelot, Into The Woods, Antigone, and countless readings by emerging screenwriters and playwrights and. His articles and essays have been published in American Theatre Magazine, Parenting, Seacoast Sunday and The Seacoast Times.
