Operator11 lets you create netcasts to be aired live.

With Operator11, you can upload videos from your computer or webcam and edit clips in their web-based studio. Users can also chat while using their webcams. Created netcasts can be scheduled to go live at whatever time you’d like. When you visit the Operator11 homepage, you’ll see what’s currently showing live, as well as the latest and most viewed shows. Users can act as a director or an actor, creating two different playlists for their profile. Rate on other’s videos and leave video comments as well. Videos can be embedded in your MySpace, hi5 and Piczo profiles, where anyone can get immediate access to the clip’s participants, and email the clip out to friends.

The functionality of the site works pretty well, but it takes some investigation to figure out what the site is all about. It wouldn’t hurt to make their purpose more clear for first time visitors, and include an “About Us” page, or a company blog. As users can schedule a netcast, it would be great to see some upcoming shows, and provide a calendar for users to add the upcoming netcasts to their own schedule. It looks like you can insert ads before and after your netcasts, so I’m assuming this is some sort ad revenue sharing model, though I don’t see anywhere to include payments received information on my profile. Others in the webcam space are Stickam and YouCams.
