Well, sort of.
This weekend, the Brattle Theater continues their Elements of Cinema series with a free screening of Alfred Hitchcock's
Psycho . It's happening Saturday, January 12th at 11am.
11am isn't such an inappropriate time to see a movie. If you think about it, 11am actually works quite well...
After breakfast at the IHOP in Harvard Square, get on over to the Brattle at around 10:45. Catch the movie at 11. Discuss it with the Brattle team and audience members at 12:30. Then grab a sandwich over at Dado Tea.
And there you have it. My Saturday schedule.
See you at the Brattle!

"Do It Your Damn Self" National Youth Video and Film Festival
Thursday, December, 6, 2007
7:00 - 9:00 PM
The Brattle Theatre
40 Brattle Street
Cambridge, MA 02138
Tickets: $10
Did you know that Cambridge, MA, is home to the oldest youth-curated film festival in the country? The "Do It Your Damn Self" National Youth Video and Film Festival , founded in 1996, was created in conjunction with the Teen Media Program at Cambridge's Community Art Center .
The Teen Media Program began 40 years ago, with the purpose of providing teenagers a place to express themselves through art. Initially, the Teen Media Program offered black-and-white and Polaroid photography, as well as Super-8mm film-making. Today, it offers classes in traditional and digital photography, graphic design, and digital-video production.
The "Do It Your Damn Self" National Youth Video and Film Festival was established by teens from the Teen Media Program who wanted to bring youth-created video to a wide audience. Moreover, the event offers youth and adults from around the country the opportunity to network and share their love of film and video as a medium for exploring social issues.
On Thursday, December 6, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, the "Do It Your Damn Self" National Youth Video and Film Festival will offer a "Best of" screening in order to celebrate the youth filmmakers, as well as the students and staff at the Community Art Center, who have helped make the festival what it is today.

Looking for something to do this Saturday?
Something between, say, 11 am and 2?
Well stop looking, we've got a plan for you!
Continuing their
Elements of Cinema summer series, the Brattle Theater will host a special screening of Francois Truffaut's
The 400 Blows . The screening will take place Saturday, August 11th, at 11am. And it will be followed by a discussion led by Emerson film studies professor Peter Flynn.
The price of admission for the screening and discussion is $0.00. That’s right. Free.
So be sure to head on over to the Brattle and see (what may rightly be) the seminal art house film in a fantastic art house theater.
