For some reason or another there seems to be a slight sense of CENSORSHIP going on here. The powers that be... REFUSE to acknowledge any of my blogs by putting them on the right side of the main page that says: New Blogs.

Why is that?

What does that say about them?

Have they no tolerance of other humans dissenting opinions?

This all goes right to the very Heart of my Blogs about Hollywood being better than Boston.

When stuff like this occurs It always baffles me. Sure the owners of this site have every human right in the world to ban me from posting & can yank all of my past blogs. But we all know that would be utterly childish.

The powers that be have made a conscious decision to not ban me....... BUT: They are DELIBERATELY not allowing others to see that my New blogs have been posted.... 

 

 

 

 

 

Is this some Weird form of Censoring?

Am I just a Retard, with a confused sense of humor & a love of freedom of expression?

All I have been attempting to do is be Entertaining & Informative.

My honest goal here was to get a True & Real Discussion going about PEOPLE'S Personal opinions & experiences of Boston verses Hollywood. To make the site a better place for ALL who come to it.

I like to make people laugh. I like to be Silly & Stupid. But I also know I need to Inform people of certain realities. I am a Pro &...... A complete & utter failure at the same time.

I lived thru Riots... Floods... Fires... Earthquakes & under Martial law in America. I have something to say. Some wisdom to impart. If I sound like I am bragging at times, I am. Wouldn't you?

After 12 years, Hollywood finally Kicked my ass though. I never made it. I was sent home packing. My dreams shattered. My hope destroyed. Buried in Debt, despair & bad health, I ran back home like a lil kid. But my humor remains Intact!

I have a virtual treasure Trove of very Valuable Information & experiences from the big City of Lost Angels. Information that I am willing to impart to others to hopefully save them, or inform them of some of the pitfalls that can overcome you in L.A.

I am a Rebel. I have never run with the pack. I do not do it deliberately. It is just how my brain is wired. Do not fault me for being true to my heart, soul & mind.

Hollywood may have beaten me for now... But I still have the Skills, Craft & knowledge that I learned there...  But more importantly.... I still have a great sense of the Absurd..... If anything, thats what Hollywood taught me.

 

 

 

 

Hold on to your humor, DON"T take everything so Damn serious! Know when to stand back & laugh at the Ludicrousness of reality.

When one spends practically everyday, As a Professional,  living in a make believe dream world creating stuff to sell to the masses, it makes you realize: We are all just little kids.

 

 

 

Confused Children struggling to get thru another day. Its just that some kids are Meaner than others.

We all have fears, phobias, hopes & heart ache. But I will Fight forever for the Right & ability, to laugh & Mock silly Humans attempting Stupid Human Tricks!

We desperately need a better understanding of each other: as humans, & as potential creative beings.

If one can make another human LAUGH & THINK in this sometimes most horrible of worlds, a world seemingly full of endless Hate, tragedy, death & despair.... than Laughter & Knowledge is a good thing.

My humor may be bizarre & edgy & completely tactless.... But there is a method to my madness.

America has so much Un-Explored opportunities... So many Un-Opened doors, because those in control, chose to slam them shut & lock out the rest.

Let us not forget we have the POTENTIAL to truly make this country the Greatest civilization Known to Human kind. Are we gonna blow it with PETTY Morality?

With Childish & Dangerous Censorship?

When someone disagrees, Are we to take our toys away & go play in another Sandbox?

Are we to blow it & end up like Rome? Buried in Blood & Madness?

I hope not...... That's why I MUST Create my Own Demented version of art.

Thats why I will NEVER GIVE UP. And I can only hope that all those others out there that feel the same as I do, carry on also.

Dystopia (n.) a fictional, and often futuristic, society that lives under the control of an oppressive government.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it seems to me that almost all dystopian-based films, no matter how good or bad, develop at least a cult following.  There are plenty of horror films, sports films, and romantic comedies that fly under the radar, but when a dystopian-themed film is made, it almost immediately develops a legion of devoted fans.

Let's take The Matrix franchise and the Star Wars prequels.  I'm glad these movies have come and gone simply so I don't have to hear someone tell me that they're the greatest movies ever made.  This isn't to say that I have anything against dystopian films.  As a matter of fact, I'm a big fan of them.  The original Star Wars, Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange, The Terminator, Metropolis, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari: these movies are fantastic.

What is it, though, about dystopian films that causes fans to latch onto them with the same conviction that one might have for a religion?  Is it as simple as the human desire to fight authority?  Perhaps it has more to do with dystopian films echoing the themes of ancient myths and texts (the Israelites overcoming the Pharaoh or the Babylonians, for example).  Many dystopian films are meant to comment on current political issues, but is this commentary reason enough for such extreme devotion to a film?

If anyone has thoughts on this subject, I'd love to hear them.  As a matter of fact, I've been on quite a dystopian film kick recently, so if anyone has recommendations, please let me know.

While I wish I had the time to write a much longer article about the state of television journalism in this country, I would probably need months to do the proper research.  Instead, I'm going to jot down a few notes about what I saw on the news today, and I hope you'll respond with your own thoughts and/or observations.

Today: 3:15 PM -- I'm watching Family Feud as I eat lunch.  (Please don't judge me too harshly.  Occasionally a man just needs to hear the top 6 reasons he might get kicked out of a casino.)  Suddenly, a news break: "Paris Hilton ordered back to jail!"  Now, I realize that the news has changed over the years.  There was a time when news programming wasn't at the mercy of ratings, and that time has passed.  Celebrity gossip is now headline material.  But now they're breaking into other shows just to announce that a celebrity, who's famous just for being famous, has been ordered by the court to do something she was already ordered to do?

4:00 PM -- I'm watching Boston's Channel 7 News, and what's the first story?  Well, not surprisingly, it's Paris Hilton.  Okay, fine.  I saw this one coming.

4:02 PM -- Story #2: A woman in NH was sexually assaulted today, and her attacker is now on the run...and armed with a handgun...and the police are looking for help in order to track down the assailant.  Um...pardon me, but if there's an armed, crazy, sex offender running through someone's neighborhood, could we please hear about this before learning about the all important Paris Hilton?

4:05 PM -- Story #3: Former Mayor Buddy Cianci is denied the opportunity to work in Boston.  Okay, this is hardly exciting, and I could care less, but at least this could be of some interest to the people of both Providence and Boston.

4:07 PM -- Story #4: An African-American teenager was shot in Dorchester today.  He was taken to the hospital, and it appears he'll make a full recovery.  Well, this is certainly newsworthy.  What's interesting, though, is that we heard nothing about the assailant and nothing about the victim.  Was the shooter caught?  Is he on the run?  Was the victim alone?  With friends?

Now, someone playing devil's advocate might say, "Hey, maybe the information wasn't released yet.  Maybe the news team doesn't have answers to those questions."  Okay, fair enough.  Strangely, though, during the report about the woman who was assaulted in New Hampshire, we got a play-by-play account of what happened to her on her way home, on her way into her apartment, during the attack, and afterward.  We also got a description (written up and posted on the screen) of the attacker -- an African-American man.  There was also a reporter on the scene, standing in front of the woman's building, giving us the full report.  In the shooting story, however, all we got was a 30-second blurb from one of the anchors and some fuzzy video of a young man being put into the back of an ambulance.  Now, maybe this is just the cynic in me, but I find it interesting that we got a highly detailed story about an African-American man attacking a woman, and a very quick story about an African-American victim.  Oh, and why are they airing the story of a child being shot after the story of a former Mayor's job-hunting woes?

4:08 PM -- I turn off the television and open up news.google.com.  Granted, I'll probably see Paris Hilton headlines, but at least I can choose to ignore them and read the other headlines on the page.
