Okay. So I promised Safa (the beanywood guru) that I would write more. I'll do my best to jot some stuff down.
My production company just wrapped principle photography on a sitcom pilot called 'Undead Indemnity'. It's part of a bigger series called'Un-Life Partners' and is the first comedy I can think of with gay monsters. It was pretty grueling overall. Just getting things set up and juggling the rest of my obligations kept me running around non-stop for the three days before the shoot. I was very fortunate that the people we hired all were personally invested in the project. The actors were super enthusiastic and extremely prepared. The director had thought it all through, listened to my suggetions, and grew a bit during the process. The makeup artist and crew worked tirelessly. The location...they just pretended we weren't there. When it wrapped, I drove around dropping off borrowed items, passed out when I got in the door, and woke in the morning to find my kids sleeping next to me.
That's ten shorts so far this year. I'm ready for a little bit of break.
