Hey guys, here's what's going on with the production of Douglas right now:
First off, a big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the fundraiser on Friday at the Middle East Downstairs. Not only did we get a lot more people talking about the film, we raisedover $1600!!! So yeah, THANK YOU!!
We are currently in our full on locations management stage. We're just about set with a school location for the school scenes, still looking for an office, and we're checking out a Quincy area location for the apartment scenes. Our goal is to have locations pretty much set by the end of of next week. WE STILL NEED AN OFFICE LOCATION WITH CUBICLES (or space for cubicles) FOR TWO OR THREE DAYS IN JULY. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU CAN HELP WITH FINDING THIS LOCATION.
We will be holding an extras casting mid-June for all the small parts we have not cast yet. Rehearsals with the cast will be weekends in June. Adam, our main actor, is coming from Austin on June 27th to begin his cast rehearsals. We hope to have a full script reading in the next two weeks, we also would like all key personel to attend so we can have a production meeting afterwards.
and speaking of meetings... there will TWO production meetings this week. The first one, Tuesday, May 22nd, is at 6PM for PRODUCERS, and 7PM for ART DEPARTMENT at the Papercut Zine Library (45 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge, MA)
the second one is Thursday, 7PM, for anyone who can attend, at the same place.
People have been donating to our paypal account! Tell your friends and family to drop a few bucks in there, the button is located on our myspace page: www.myspace.com/douglasthemovie $5 gets their name in the credits! Every little bit helps!
THE CAST AND CREW DINNER WILL BE JULY 6th.
ROUGH SHOOTING SCHEDULE:
We will be finalizing this shortly, but for now, we are roughly shooting every weekend in July plus a few nights each week (Tues, Weds, Thurs). SHOOTING STARTS JULY 7th.
We are currently seeking more PAs. We need people eager to get feature film experience! Know anyone interested in helping out with the production? Have them email us! douglasthemovie@yahoo.com
Let's see, what else? Beanywood.com wants to do an interview/front page story on the production and we've applied for fiscal sponsorship. We shall be hearing back about that soon.
Alright, feel free to email if you have any questions.
