Yes, this is shocking, posting this on a Beanywood page, surprisingly enough; I am taking up to a year off from working in the film industry.
Right now I am working at a place in NH refilling printer cartridges, 25-30 hours a week average, not much. But I'm currently applying to workat TV stations.
I have to say, this is better than working on a big production and waiting over a month for another one while my money slowly runs out. And much, much better than sifting through ads that only list free work. Did I mention I don't work for free?
So, with that said, I won't be doing much on my sites having to do with film (this one, my MySpace Film page, my Nextcat, etc.). After all, I have steady work and that's what I want. And I'm getting paid for it, too.
Once I've saved enough money, I'll be back in the business. I'm also trying to sell a 90 page script I wrote and revised a few months ago. One of my buddies suggested putting it on Trigger Street, so I'll see how that goes. It's already registered with WGAE.
That's it for now. I'll keep you posted. Not sure next time I'll check this page, but for now, consider this a sabbatical.
