Wasted time and energy

They spend so much time wasting thoughts and energy because they can't think of anything they would rather be doing. And everything they've worked for never saw the light of day.

I'm doing it right now. Wasting time and energy. I'm wasting it because I'mnot getting paid for it. I'm spueing off bits and pieces of thought, uncontained and unorganized because the contained and organized doesn't seem to want to find an audience.

Ever feel you were in this big, empty, dark void screaming at the top of your lungs and no one could hear you? Guess what? That's what I'm doing right now! It's what I've been doing for the last 17+ years that I've been in South Florida. I mean, who cares?

OK this is not a novel, best seller or information anybody can use to help their family and friends, or help increase their earning potential. It's just a freakin blog. A screaming, freaking blog. AHHHHHH!!!!!!! can anybody hear me out there?

I took the week off from my day gig because I thought I needed some-what of a vacation. What a freakin vacation. I end up screaming on this blog that nobody can hear.

"Reach out and touch some one." Remember that add? When there's no one around you, why reach out? a passer-be might think you were strange. Hey! I would love to "touch some one". I mean, deeply touch some one with my music. I believe that becoming the best person you can be and holding yourself to high moral, ethical and aesthetic standards is the absolute most you can do to make an artistic and significant contribution to humanity. Yes, I think it's important to try anyway.

I'm not one of those people who wonder what life's about. or, where we're all going. Or, "What is the meaning of life"? You Know? I have enough enthusiasm for my music so none of those concerns present themselves. (not that they're not important questions)

When you scream and no one hears you, and you know there's people around you everywhere, It's sort of, well, discouraging and futile to keep screaming louder and louder and more and more. It's like, everyone's frozen around you. Like, I'm the only one animated.

People are not giving and people are not receiving. You offer to help some one and the response is; "No thanks. I'll be OK, we'll do fine. Thanks anyway." Then you ask someone for some help for yourself or a worthy cause and the response is; "I'm a little busy right now. get some one else." or, "try us back another time."

Even though you know all those people and all those people know you, Haven't you ever asked yourself; "Have I touched anybody? I mean, really and deeply touched anybody. Anybody can communicate. Talk. Listen. Exchange ideas, teach, learn lessons, "entertain" or have mutual discourse. But! Isn't there more? I mean, c'mon. Pinch me! Hit me over the head with a 12 Lb hammer or something! Cause some pain to your neighbor! Insult them! Get your point across! Call them up at 3:00 AM and tell them how much they mean to you. Call them up and tell them how they pissed you off last night. But call them up! Get it?

OK, OK. I'm still screaming and there's no one out there. Right?

I love when they asked Picasso what his favorite and most meaningful painting was. He said; "The next one".

I'm not a big Donald Trump fan but I liked what he said in a corporate meeting that was lasting longer than he had patients for; "Show me the money". Brilliant.

I think most people are as likely to respond to a screaming blog as they'd be to a screaming person. ;)

I do think that it's very important to find ways to connect with others, and at a deep level and to experience and to imbibe from that spiritual, human bond. Sure. Yet blogs are definitely not just 'for fun.'

There has been actually a new series of articles on the net that blogs are quickly becoming the new resume as they mirror the thinking and abilities of the writer:
Check out this terrific article on the subject if it is something you think might be interesting. Also the 9 Lessons for Would-be Bloggers towards the end of the article are really useful for any writer.

Exactly. And thanks for the direct.

My point, though I would never be so presumptuous, is that the "community" appears too careful. Too apathetic. My blog wasn't necessarily to invoke a reaction so much as it was to reflect my awareness of the "community" surrounding us.

I will however, check out the article and remain open to any lessons that could help raise my conciousness in the mater.
