“Making Media Now 2007: Filmmaking in Transition” is a full-day professional conference being held on Friday, June 1st, 2007 from 9:30am - 6:30 pm at Boston University’s Photonics Center.

Organized by Filmmakers Collaborative, this unique event will serve film and media makers of all levels in the New England region and will feature leading industry professionals, master classes, informational panels and seminars. The conference will focus on how Internet innovations have democratized the tools of media creation and distribution and what film and media makers must learn to utilize these tools to their advantage.


Master classes include:
  • copyright issues,
  • tax credits, and
  • demystifying digital formats.
Panels include:
  • producing and delivering short content on the web,
  • the social media game,
  • making content interactive,
  • how to use the web as a tool for promoting and distributing your film, and
  • forecasting the future.
