Exclusive: Behind-the-Scenes of Disturbia Part 2
by Steve Head

Beanywood puts you on the set.

Perhaps you've considered seeing "Disturbia ," which opened last Friday, or maybe you've already seen it? In either case, Beanywood has a little something today that you're going to get a kick out of: an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette from the set of "Disturbia." This is the first video segment of several.

Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's classic "Read Window," screenwriter Carl Ellsworth ("Red Eye") and director DJ Caruso ("The Salton Sea") fashioned "Disturbia" as a modern take on the unnerving thought that a cold-blooded killer could be just beyond your window.

The movie stars Shia LeBeouf as Kale, a High School student assigned to house arrest after assaulting a teacher. After a month of watching the coming-and-goings of his neighbors, Kale suspects the new resident across the street might be a killer. The new resident is Mr. Turner, played by character actor David Morse - who appeared in more than 30 productions from '71 to '77 with the Boston Repertory Company.

In the video, you'll see Caruso confer with his stars. And you'll see LeBeouf and co-stars Sarah Roemer (Ashley), Carrie-Ann Moss (Julie), and Aaron Yoo (Ronnie) film a few of their scenes.
